Frequently asked questions

Is AWS, Azure or Google Cloud down right now?

World Tech Status shows the live health of AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud pulled straight from each provider's official status feed and refreshed every 60 seconds. Any active incident appears on the world map and in the incident feed.

Which services does World Tech Status monitor?

It tracks 30+ platforms across cloud, AI, developer and consumer categories — including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Apple, Cloudflare, OpenAI, Anthropic, GitHub, Slack, Discord, Vercel, Coinbase and more. Streaming and social apps such as Spotify, YouTube, Netflix and Instagram link to community outage reports.

How often is the status updated?

Status is fetched from each provider's official feed and cached for up to one minute, so the board reflects real incidents within about 60 seconds of them being published.

Where does the data come from?

Every status comes from the provider's own public feed — Statuspage APIs, Apple's system status data, Google's incidents feed, the AWS Health dashboard, Azure's status feed and Slack's status API. Apps without a public feed link to Downdetector's crowd reports.

Is the World Tech Status map free to use?

Yes. It runs in your browser, needs no sign-up, and is free to use.
